The University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR), is recruiting for a Database Manager. Competitive experience includes: programming skills, including the use of SAS; skill in collecting, organizing, and manipulating large data sets; and ability to perform rudimentary data analysis to spot/correct data problems. Other desirable skills include familiarity with statistical and database packages other than SAS, such as EVIEWS, SQL and STATA; ability to design/manage relational databases; proficiency with a wide variety of standard data analysis and management packages such as Excel and Access; familiarity with statistical techniques such as regression analysis; and good oral/written communication skills.

The position will manage research assistants and produce data/reports that meet the needs of other BEBR programs with only general direction. Successful applicants will therefore be self-directed, detail oriented, and have good interpersonal skills. Min. Qual.- Master's or Bachelor's degree plus 2 yrs. related experience preferably in a discipline that involves training in quantitative analytical methods or data management. Academic, governmental, or business experience in database management is desirable, but not required.

Starting Salary range is 35-55K, commensurate with qualifications.
