Director, Biostatistical Laboratory

The University of Florida's Department of Statistics in the College of Medicine is seeking a Director for the Biostatistical Laboratory (BCL). The Director will interpret statistical and medical literature, design appropriate and efficient experiments, determine sample size, write reports describing statistical methods, interpret statistical results, and review manuscripts for publication for researchers in the UF Health Sciences Center in Gainesville and Jacksonville and for independent researchers. Additionally, the Director will design, develop, and oversee the data entry process when appropriate.

This position, which reports directly to the Associate Chair of Statistics, requires at least a bachelor's degree and two years of appropriate experience. A master's degree in statistics is strongly preferred as are clinical trials experience, SAS programming and data management experience in UNIX and PC environments. The incumbent is expected to be highly motivated and to pro-actively facilitate the visibility and growth of the BCL. Salary range is $29,570 - $66,700, commensurate with experience.
