 Data Manager

 The Department of Behavioral Science at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Data Manager. The successful candidate will join a growing team of data managers, biostatisticians, quantitative psychologists and programmers in the Section of Behavioral Statistics on a wide variety of behavioral science research projects related to cancer prevention. Areas of research include smoking prevention and cessation, cancer screening, quality of life of cancer survivors, stress management and immune function, and physical activity. Our innovative interventions utilize state-of-the-art technology including CD-ROMs, the internet and hand-held computers. We are looking for individuals who are interested in designing, developing and maintaining databases in an academic research environment. Requirements include a bachelor's degree with a major in computer science statistics or related field, or a Bachelor's degree with substantial experience in data management. A Master's degree with major in computer science, statistics, or related field is preferred. Experience in Microsoft Access, programming or coding in Visual Basic or other programming languages is required.
