Principal Biostatistician

In the role of Principal Biostatistician, your primary responsibility will be to expand and broaden the scope of Biostatistics in the area pharmaceutical research. You will provide guidance in statistical analysis methodology and perform statistical programming, design, and analyses for multiple clinical trial projects. You will direct/supervise project team members in all aspects of design and statistical analyses and reporting on clinical research and provide consultation with non-clinical, pre-clinical and clinical scientists regarding the conduct of experiments, clinical trials, statistical methodology and regulatory issues. You will Interact with domestic and foreign regulatory agencies for Allergan R&D projects and programs in the support of new product development, domestic and international regulatory submissions and in the maintenance and growth of existing products.

We require a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or a statistics-related field with a minimum of 4 years pharmaceutical experience. You must have working knowledge of advanced statistical theory and methods including specific knowledge of experimental design, analysis of variance and linear models, survival analysis, categorical analysis, multivariate analysis, robust estimation, nonparametric techniques, and sequential clinical trial methodologies. In addition, you must possess working knowledge of at least one statistical software package (such as SAS, SPSS, BMDP, RS/1), excellent analytical, problem solving, and computer skills with the ability to work under pressure and initiative to take on unfamiliar tasks.
