Position Title:
Decision Science Consultant
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Provide analytical consultation, science modeling, and solutions to achieve business goals and objectives •Research, design, develop, implement, and support decision science models •Conduct research on analytical techniques and translate that research into usable and sustainable solutions for users •Performing data collection, data cleaning, data validation, and reporting tasks for revenue management systems and applications •Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns and trends in business applications •Support the analysis and validation of statistical, forecasting and optimization models •Model and analyze revenue management and pricing related issues using various mathematical, statistical, and simulation techniques •Communicate science results to business partners and clients
Position Qualifications:
•Strong mathematical modeling skills. Knowledge in data mining •Demonstrated computer proficiency with statistical modeling •Proficient in programming languages such as SAS •Demonstrated strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills •Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail •Demonstrated strong partnering skills •Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new science, software applications and tools •Design and develop advanced analytical data mining, forecasting, estimation, and/or optimization models •Provide science calibration support for decision science models •Design and conduct studies for comparison and benefit assessment of various advanced analytical models •Identify and apply best practices in field of advanced analytics (statistics, operations research, etc.) •Act as science consultant to all business units within the Walt Disney Company
