Position Title: Assistant or Associate Professor (STOCHASTIC MODELING)

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics and Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri invite applications for a joint mid-level tenured position in stochastic modeling. We are particularly interested in candidates who use Bayesian approaches to model biological problems. The successful candidate will establish a research program that complements each department’s existing strengths in statistics and biology and builds linkages across campus with groups in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources such as Fisheries & Wildlife or Plant Science. A Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics is required. MU features an interdisciplinary Complexity Modeling Initiative with more than 66 modeling faculty representing 18 departments across campus.
