The Medical College of Wisconsin is a private medical school located in suburban Milwaukee. It has a Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and offers a Ph.D. in Biostatistics. The Division of Biostatistics, located in the Institute for Health and Society, has 10 faculty members. They are involved in a number of large collaborative projects including the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, MCW Cancer Center and the Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research. The Division also has a Biostatistical Consulting Service which supports research across all disciplines at the College. All these activities offer a number of opportunities for collaborative research as well methodological research that typically stems from it.
Position Title:
Assistant Professor
Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include teaching and mentoring graduate students, conducting methodological research, and engaging in collaborative research with physicians and medical scientists
Position Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, or expect to complete such a degree by December 2013. Applicants should demonstrate methodological and applied expertise, and have skills in modern statistical computing. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
