Company Information: The University of Pittsburgh Department of Biostatistics was founded in 1949 and is one of seven departments in the Graduate School of Public Health. The Department is highly ranked nationally and offers MS, MPH, and PhD degrees. The Department has 30 primary faculty, 21 secondary and adjunct faculty, and approximately 90 graduate students. The educational program is supported by the Department's extensive array of collaborative research projects. Faculty members in the Department direct the Biostatistics Facility of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, the Center for Occupational Biostatistics and Epidemiology, the Comparative Effectiveness Research Core, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project Biostatistical Center, and the Public Health Dynamics Laboratory. Position Title: Tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Biostatistics seeks applicants for one tenure-track position at the assistant, associate, and/or professor level, to begin in fall 2014 or earlier. We seek outstanding individuals with a commitment to methodological and collaborative research, and teaching. We have particular interest in candidates with research expertise in several areas including, but not limited to, clinical trials, comparative effectiveness, high-dimensional data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, and observational studies. Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctorate in biostatistics, statistics, or related discipline. Rank and salary will be determined by the candidate's credentials. New PhDs and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply.
