Statistician
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Statistician will be responsible for statistical analyses including predictive modeling, sample size calculations, randomization, and test design recommendations. The Senior Statistician will be responsible for statistical analyses including predictive modeling, sample size calculations, randomization, and test design recommendations. Define and solve business problems using predictive models, survey design and analysis, data mining, external data enhancement and break-even analysis Identify opportunities to improve business performance Prepare detailed statistical analysis plans Provide detailed specifications for generating analysis datasets Provide advice and guidance to the data management and statistical programming team Communicate regarding test protocol and statistical analysis issues Clearly present ideas and findings to others Proactively and effectively interact with other internal groups Evaluate and improve models, tools and processes Take responsibility for the companys well being Supervision Exercised: None Level of Supervision Received: Moderate Responsibility / Authority (A) Relationships: Relates with all level of employees (B) Equipment: Computer, phone, fax (C) Money: No money handling
Position Qualifications:
Equivalent Education Level Required: Bachelors (Masters preferred) in quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Physics or Industrial Engineering Experience Required: Minimum 2 years statistical programming (SAS, R, Python, etc.). Previous experience building predictive models, designing tests and preparing data for analysis. Knowledge Required: Ability to solve business problems via statistical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, analysis of variance, cluster analysis, boosting, support vector machines, CART, principal components, factor analysis, experimental design or similar methods. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong problem solving skills and ability to work both independently and in teams.
