Position Title: Associate Member (comparable to Associate Professor)

Duties & Responsibilities: The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division (VIDD) at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is seeking a faculty member at the Associate Member rank to provide leadership for a large program that functions as a statistics and data center for multisite, international clinical trials in infectious disease research.

Position Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of obtaining federal funding, and experience in leading multi-disciplinary research programs. He or she will have established a reputation for excellence in research design, statistical methods development, and implementation of complex, population-level biostatistical analyses. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related fields. VIDD scientists integrate computational, laboratory and clinical research methods to advance the understanding of microbial pathogenesis and infectious disease processes. VIDD has collaborative programs with laboratory, clinical and field sites in Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe. The person selected will have the opportunity to expand collaborations within this global network and with scientists at local institutions such as the University of Washington.
