Company Information: The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center invites applicants to apply for two faculty positions in biostatistics at the assistant or associate professor level with an open track to support research programs in the Division of Nephrology and the Kidney Institute of New Mexico. Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful applicant will engage in both independent and collaborative projects in clinical and epidemiological research in nephrology and will develop his/her own program in methodological research in statistics.

Position Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are (1) a PhD or equivalent degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related field and (2) candidate must be eligible to work in the US. (this is not a J1 Visa opportunity). Desirable/Preferable qualifications include expertise in at least one of the following areas: (1) Development or implementation of statistical methods for the analysis of time-to-event data; (2) Development or implementation of methods for joint modeling of time-to-event data; (3) Collaborating with researchers in Nephrology; and (4) Comparative effectiveness research. Strong preference will be given to applicants with expertise and experience in multiple areas. The successful applicant will engage in both independent and collaborative projects in clinical and epidemiological research in nephrology and will develop his/her own program in methodological research in statistics. Faculty rank, track and salary will be determined by the applicant’s qualifications.
