The Biostatistics Unit includes 6 PhD biostatistician investigators and 10 MS biostatisticians. Research areas include cancer prevention and screening, pharmacoepidemiology, behavioral medicine, women's health, and aging. Biostatistical areas of emphasis include correlated data, Bayesian methods, medical diagnostic testing, survival analysis, missing data, and sequential testing. GHRI is an active member of a vibrant regional research community that includes the University of Washington, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and the Seattle Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center.
Position Title:
Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biostatistics
Duties & Responsibilities:
Group Health Research Institute (GHRI, www.grouphealthresearch.org) is seeking a doctorally trained candidate for a 1 to 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship. Applicants should have a PhD in biostatistics and an interest in conducting methodological research with application to post-licensure drug and vaccine safety. The postdoctoral fellow will engage in both methodological and collaborative research activities under the supervision of GHRI biostatistics faculty mentors.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong interest in active collaboration in public domain interdisciplinary research, and strong letters of recommendation.
