Position Title: Postdoctoral Lecturer

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of Virginia invites applications for postdoctoral Lecturer positions to begin August 25, 2013. These positions are for three years, with annual renewal contingent on satisfactory performance. Duties include teaching twelve credit hours per year (a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses), research, and light departmental service. Although teaching is an important component of these positions, there is also ample time for developing or expanding a research program.

Position Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a PhD in Statistics or a related field by appointment start date and have excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have received their PhD within the last three years and have experience teaching statistics.
