Position Title: Postdoctoral Scholar

Duties & Responsibilities: This is a two to three year-postdoctoral position under the joint direction of Dr. Debashis Ghosh (http://works.bepress.com/debashis_ghosh/) and Dr. Yu Zhang (http://stat.psu.edu/~yuzhang) at the Pennsylvania State University (University Park campus). We are seeking highly motivated individuals to develop novel statistical and computational methods for analyzing large-scale genomics and genetics data from next- generation sequencing technologies. The successful candidate will join a dynamic group of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty. Potential opportunities exist to collaborate with researchers at Penn State in centers such as the Center for Medical Genomics (http://www.huck.psu.edu/center/medical-genomics), the Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation (http://www.huck.psu.edu/center/eukaryotic-gene-regulation), and the Center for Molecular Toxicology and Carcinogenesis (http://www.cmtc.psu.edu/).

Position Qualifications: Candidates should have PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field, as well as genuine interests and experience in biomedical and genome research. Outstanding computing and communication skills are required. Prior work in statistical/computational genomics/genetics is preferred.

Salary Range: Competitive and depends on research experience.
