Position Title: Assistant or Associate Professor in Biostatistics, NTE

Duties & Responsibilities: The Biostatistics Collaboration Center of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) and Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences (NUCATS) Institute seeks a highly qualified applicant in Biostatistics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This full-time position is non-tenure eligible. Primary responsibilities include biostatistical collaboration/consultation with investigators in the basic and clinical sciences, and independent methodologic research. FSM and NUCATS offer a broad scope of research that gives rise to complex issues in statistical analysis methodology. Applicants with experience in collaborative research who are also interested in related methodological research (e.g. novel clinical trial design, analysis of high throughput data) are especially encouraged to apply. There is an expectation that faculty will teach one to two courses per year in the university graduate programs based in the department. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, experience collaborating with medical investigators, scientific productivity related to biostatistical methodology, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of multidisciplinary teams. Academic appointments will be in the Department of Preventive Medicine, Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. The Department has a Division of Biostatistics consisting of 18 faculty biostatisticians who provide a collegial biostatistical environment, with a departmental history of mentoring junior faculty biostatisticians.
