The University of Texas School of Public Health: Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials

Company Information: UTHealth educates the largest number of health care professionals in Texas – close to 5000 each year. UTSPH, founded over 40 years ago, is a highly ranked school with top-notch degree programs. The Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials (CCCT), located at the University of Texas School of Public Health-Houston Campus in the Texas Medical Center, has been a leader in the cardiovascular disease and vision research. The CCCT has received almost $200 million dollars in funding and has served as a coordinating center for 17 nationwide multicenter clinical trials.

Position Title: Associate or Full Professor of Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities: The individual will collaborate with other scientists to develop ideas for funding research as well as contribute to statistical and clinical trials methodology. In addition, he/she will teach graduate level biostatistics courses advise graduate students and participate in professional service.

Position Qualifications: (1) earned doctorate in biostatistics or related field; (2) commitment to excellence in teaching and advising graduate students; (3) evidence of both methodological and collaborative research accomplishments in clinical trials; (4) track record of obtaining grants/contracts in clinical trials; (5) evidence of national/international recognition in biostatistics and clinical trials; and (6) excellence in written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range: This is a tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate.
