Position Title: Staff Scientist

Duties & Responsibilities: Job Summary: This staff scientist will serve as the Protocol Statistician for Microbicide Trials Network (MTN) protocols, collaborate with scientists within the MTN and develop creative solutions to statistical issues that arise within the MTN. Responsibilities: The Staff Scientist will contribute to the MTN research agenda through independent and collaborative research resulting in presentations and publications. May perform some or all of the following responsibilities: 1.Contribute to microbicides science through independent and collaborative research resulting in presentations and publications. 2.Provide statistical leadership in protocol development, monitoring and reporting. 3.Mentor masters-level statisticians as necessary. 4.Contribute to preparation of new grant requests and annual progress reports. 5.Maintain current knowledge of and contribute to advancements in the HIV microbicide research field through participation in professional organizations, scientific conferences, reading industry journals, and publication of manuscripts. 6.Perform other tasks as required.

Position Qualifications: Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics or related field. Experience working with complex groups within a clinical research environment desired. Strong written and verbal communication and management skills.
