Position Title: Epidemiologist I

Duties & Responsibilities: Purpose: To support the Director of the Scale Development Unit with respect to data analysis, report writing, and grant application development of research related to latent variable constructs in pediatric medicine. A secondary purpose is to consult with investigators and research staff on locally derived measures of pediatric health, with a particular emphasis on ethical and bioethical constructs in medicine today. Willingness to contribute to the growth and development of a Scale Development unit within the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology is essential.

Position Qualifications: Required Skills: Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology or related field, experience with both classical and modern theory psychometric methods, demonstrated experience with multiple statistical packages (e.g., SAS, STATA, M-Plus, R, Winsteps), and strong organizational, oral and written communication skills. Preferred Skills: Ph.D. coursework, 3 to 5 years of experience in instrument and/or measure development.

Salary Range: 23.00 - 38.00
