Position Title:
Tenure-track position in statistics at the level of assistant professor (For exceptional candidates, an appointment at a more senior level may be considered.)
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant is expected to commit to highly effective teaching at all levels of the curriculum and to maintain a vigorous, collaborative research program that also engages undergraduates in substantive research outcomes.
Position Qualifications:
A Ph.D. is required. ABDs will be considered but must have completed the Ph.D. by the August 2014 start date. We will consider candidates with a background in any area of statistics. We especially encourage applications from candidates with interests that overlap with one of our department’s current areas of emphasis: Mathematical Economics or Mathematical Biology. Interest in advising students expressing interest in actuarial science is also a plus.
