Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
Duties & Responsibilities:
The School of Public Health-Bloomington invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions in Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The newly named School of Public Health-Bloomington is hiring faculty and staff to join the newly created Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington emphasizes its strengths in social and behavioral health, environmental health, epidemiology, biostatistics and community-based research and practice.
Position Qualifications:
The successful candidates will provide evidence of the potential to secure funded research grants, conduct research, write for peer reviewed publications, and teach undergraduate and graduate classes in the candidates’ specified area of expertise. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in biostatistics or statistics from an accredited school of public health, school of medicine or related educational institution, a record demonstrating the potential for significant scholarly achievement, and an ability to collaborate with others. For senior hires, a record of academic accomplishments, scholarly recognition, and external research support to warrant appointment at the level of associate or full professor is essential. The anticipated hire date for these 10-month appointments is August 1, 2014. Review of applications will November 1, 2013 and continue until the positions are filled. Salary is competitive depending upon qualifications and experience.
