Non Union, Exempt or Temporary Duties & Responsibilities The
Biostatistician will provide comprehensive data management and analysis
support for the PEPFAR program and its related study projects. S/he
will work with epidemiologic and medical researchers and senior
biostatisticians to derive variables in SAS, clean data, perform
analyses on large datasets, and produce tables, graphs in
publication-quality form for manuscripts, reports and presentations.
Duties will also include training and assisting other team members and
students in the use of the analysis system and datasets, program
reviewing for analysis conducted by other team members, interpreting
the analysis results, and providing statistical support for grant
applications. The primary work site is in Boston, and some travel to
Dar es Salaam is optional. Please note: This is a grant-funded position
through September 29, 2014 with possibility of extension.
Position Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications MA/MS in biostatistics, statistics or other
related quantitative field required. Two years of full-time experience
with clinical trials and/or epidemiologic research, categorical,
survival and longitudinal data, using SAS statistical software
required. Additional Qualifications Candidate must be independent and
self-motivated. Excellent oral and written communication skills in
English are essential. Experience with SPSS and Access data management
