The postdoc fellow will be supervised by Dr. Yuan Ji and will collaborate with scientists at The University of Chicago. Joint appointment with U of Chicago is also possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The person will join a research team focusing on Bayesian modeling and methods for solving biomedical problems. Related topics include integration of multiple sources of genomics data, modeling for next-generation sequencing data, and nonparametric Bayesian modeling with applications to genomics and clinical trial designs, etc. The team consists of a variety of skill sets that complement each other, with a goal to conduct high-impact and high-quality statistical and informatics research.
Our ideal candidate will have: PhD in biostatistics, statistics, computational biology, computer science, engineer or related field, as well as passion and experiences on cutting-edge biomedical research. Outstanding computational skills; experiences in using C++, R, Perl, Python, and database languages are preferred. Experience in developing Bayesian statistical and computational methodologies using MCMC simulations and constructing predictive models using large clinical and genomics data sets. Excellent communication skills.
