Position Title:
Post Doctoral Research Fellow (ML 25253)
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Biostatistics & Biomathematics Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Division of Public Health Sciences is recruiting a post-doctoral research fellow. Fellow will engage in both methodological and collaborative research with areas focused on predictive values of novel biomarker (e.g., genetic variants and expression markers), high dimensional genetics and genomics data analysis, and risk prediction models. Fellow will have opportunities in participating large collaborative projects with clinical investigators from genome-wide association studies on hematopoietic cellular transplantation cohorts.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants should have Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in statistics or biostatistics or other quantitative area. Strong theoretical, computational, and communication skills are desired. In particular, a successful candidate should be able to write efficient programs in R and/or C, and have basic theoretical training in large data analysis. The position is available immediately and for up to two years.
