Position Title:
Operations Intern
Duties & Responsibilities:
As part of our operations team, you will be working alongside our resident nerds helping to find an audience for our clients' campaigns and doing our data analysis. You'll be researching different social media platforms, performing experiments and helping monitor our efforts. Internships last 3-6 months, after an initial two week trial. A number of previous internships have led to full-time job offers. While we can't make any guarantees, an internship is a great opportunity to learn about social media marketing and get agency experience. Our offices are in the West Village and you will be working with a team of about a dozen lovely people. In lieu of a cover letter, please answer the following question in 500 words or less: What factors affect the relative popularity of web content?
Position Qualifications:
• Inquisitive, dedicated and quantitative • Able to learn new concepts quickly and communicate your understanding effectively • Interest in digital marketing, social media and content diffusion • Understanding of various social media platforms and their respective characteristics • Understanding of YouTube Analytics • Ability to draw conclusions from data and reason about abstract concepts • Experience with Flash, Photoshop or Illustrator an advantage • Understanding of SEO, Google AdWords, Game Theory, Statistics, Computer Programming and Graph Theory an advantage • Coursework in (Applied) Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science preferred
