Company Information: New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business is recognized internationally as being among the world's best graduate and undergraduate business schools. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City, Stern has an internationally diverse faculty and student body. Stern's Department of Information, Operations and Management Sciences (IOMS) is a common home to faculty whose research style is analytical or technology-based. Three Groups - Information Systems, Operations Management, and Statistics - combine their strengths and capabilities. Statistics is a multidisciplinary program at the Stern School. The Statistics Group includes 8 full-time Statistics faculty members and a number of faculty affiliates, and has diverse interests and expertise, including Actuarial Science, Categorical Data, Computationally Intensive Methodology, Econometrics, Multivariate Statistics, Network Data, Stochastic Processes, and Time Series Analysis.

Position Title: Assistant Professor

Duties & Responsibilities: A candidate is expected to be a productive researcher and effective teacher at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Position Qualifications: A candidate should have a Ph.D. or be assured of its completion within one year. Appropriate candidates will have evidence of boundary-spanning interests across fields that reflect significant interfaces of Statistics with areas of relevance in a Business School, such as Data Mining, Marketing, Economics, Finance, and Operations. Experience in classroom teaching is highly desirable.
