The newly named School of Public Health-Bloomington is building on the traditions of its 65 year-old predecessor school, and is hiring faculty and staff to join the newly created Department of Epidemiology/Biostatistics and the Department of Environmental Health, in addition to continuing recruitment in the Departments of Applied Health Science, Kinesiology, and Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies. Its noted successes include its top graduate programs, distinguished faculty, and accomplished researchers. The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington will have a rural community focus that will emphasize its strengths in social and behavioral health, environmental health, epidemiology and community-based research and practice.

Position Qualifications:
The successful candidates will provide evidence of the potential to secure funded research grants, conduct research, write for peer reviewed scholarly publications, and teach undergraduate and graduate classes in the candidates’ specified area of expertise. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in at least one of the professional disciplines (biostatistics or epidemiology) from an accredited school of public health, school of medicine or related educational institution, a record demonstrating the potential for significant scholarly achievement, and an ability to collaborate with others. The anticipated hire date for these 10-month appointments is August 1, 2013. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
