Visiting Faculty Member
Duties & Responsibilities:
The teaching load for a full-time visitor is three courses per semester. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in calculus and introductory statistics. Other courses will depend on the candidate’s own interests, and may include discrete mathematics, linear algebra, abstract algebra, or more advanced courses in statistics.
Position Qualifications:
Connecticut College invites applications for a full-time visiting position in mathematics, to begin in the fall of 2013. The initial appointment will be for a single year, but will be renewable for up to two more years. Appointment will be at the rank of assistant professor; under special circumstances, applications at the rank of associate professor or professor may also be considered. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field, or must have completed the requirements for such a degree by the time of appointment.
