Position Title: MS Biostatistician

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Department Chair and her faculty team on her research projects. The responsibilities include the following: Serve as a high level biostatistician for a research- intensive department. Support ongoing and future research projects by providing high-level data maintenance and management. Plan analytical approaches for performing appropriate, informative analyses. Organize data searches for identifying and expanding data sources. Maintain databases performing consistent, high-level extractions and analyses. Perform data quality assurance with thorough data cleansing and verification. Present data using computational and graphical statistics packages. Produce statistical reports, publications and high-quality tables and figures when assigned.

Position Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in biostatistics or related field or an equivalent combination of college and related/progressive experience in data analysis. Must be capable of performing critical analyses of the literature relevant to ongoing or planned research projects. Must be able to define technical problems in research projects and databases, then implement new or revised statistical approaches to alleviate the problems. Proven ability to disseminate research findings in both oral and written formats. Must have working experience with statistical software applications, including SAS, R, etc. Demonstrated ability to disseminate research findings in both oral and written formats. Collaborative experience in a biomedical research environment. Excellent English language communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a diverse, dynamic environment. Experience in preparing statistical reports, manuscripts for publication desired. Experience in grant/proposal writing desired.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $64,000
