Company Information: Sutter Health Support Services (SHSS) is the home office of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest non-profit network of hospitals, long-term care centers, physician groups, medical foundations, research institutes, and home health agencies. Sutter Health's Research, Development and Dissemination (R&D) unit is focused on: 1) transforming care so that it is personalized, valuable, accountable and highly efficient; 2) continually seeking new frontiers through partnerships with premier academic and industry organizations; and 3) providing and enabling the science and practice of dissemination to ensure that the benefits of R&D services accrue to the entire Sutter system. R&D works with leadership to prioritize clinical and other operational needs to create and track value in health care for the system through data analytics and other research endeavors and through the development of innovative and scalable solutions. R&D conducts research, including the application of state-of-the-art analytics, to identify and clearly define health care value opportunities, to conduct development work to invent innovative solutions to fulfill the opportunity, to scale solutions for widespread dissemination, and to track the value related return-on-investment.

Position Title: Sr. Statistical Analyst - Research and Development

Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Statistical Analyst supervises and directs statistical programs and carrys out complex data analysis plans independently. This position also provides general and advanced statistical support, as a consultant or collaborator, to clinicians and investigators. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of analysis plans, optimizing the application of statistical and analytical techniques to aid in the translation of data into information, and the statistical and analytical programming necessary to execute against the analytical plans and research questions. This position also supervises/mentors lower level analysts.

Position Qualifications: Education: • Master's degree in Statistics or closely related field required or the equivalent combination of education, training, application and/or data support, and hospital/clinic operation experience may be substituted. Experience/Knowledge/Skills: • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate quantitative information to medical, research and administrative personnel.. • Demonstrated analytical skills. • Proficient with administrative software (e.g., MS Office) and analytical software tools (e.g., SAS, STATA, R, SQL). • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and be accountable for multiple tasks. • Demonstrated competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills (interpersonal communication and technological effectiveness competencies) • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with interdisciplinary teams. • Record of independent or collaborative publications preferred. • A minimum of three years’ experience as an analyst, or equivalent role, is required to qualify for the senior analyst role.
