Position Title: Director of the Center for Statistical Consulting

Duties & Responsibilities: Position No. 00053463. The Director of the Center for Statistical Consulting is a non-tenure track faculty position within the Department of Statistical Science. The position integrates teaching, consulting, and research roles within the framework of an active, nationally renowned academic department. The purpose of the Center for Statistical Consulting is to provide training in statistical consulting for statistics graduate students, to provide statistical consulting services to the University community, to generate revenue for the Center from clients outside the university, and to promote goodwill and enhance the reputation of the Department and SMU in the local community. Job responsibilities of the Center Director include managing the Center for Statistical Consulting, securing suitable consulting training opportunities for graduate students, teaching graduate courses in statistical consulting, statistical software (such as SAS), and other applied courses directly relevant to the workplace for the Masters in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis program and for undergraduate Statistics majors.

Position Qualifications: The department is seeking a scholar with ongoing research in Statistical Analysis of Experiments. Master or Ph.D. degree is required at the time of the appointment.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000
