Position Title: Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics

Duties & Responsibilities: The Smith College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track position starting Fall 2013. The department has broad interests in theoretical and applied mathematics and statistics. We seek someone to enhance or complement our current strengths in statistics and/or mathematics. Additional short-term positions may be available.

Position Qualifications: A Ph.D. in the mathematics or related discipline is required by appointment date. Excellence in teaching is essential, as is evidence of a strong and ongoing research program.
