Position Title: Biotech team

Duties & Responsibilities: We are looking for an Associate to join one of the biotech (biotechnology) equity research teams in the New York office. As an Associate you would acquire expertise in your industry and sector and learn rigorous fundamental company and financial analysis. You would contribute to our written research product build complex financial models and interact with outside company management and institutional clients as well as with employees in various divisions of the Firm. You would be given many responsibilities and would be empowered to make important contributions. Salary will be competitive. Position Qualifications: We are looking for a highly intelligent individual with a strong science background. This individual should also possess strong analytical skills intellectual curiosity a strong work ethic and a track record of outstanding academic and/or professional performance. •We are also looking for a “team player” as this position entails working within a 3-4 person team. •An ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of work experience outside of an academic environment. •We particularly welcome a strong working knowledge of statistics (basic or clinical) particularly including any significant work/project experience. •We welcome an individual who has had significant prior work experience in the health care sector or equity research although this is not essential for this position. An advanced degree in the life sciences (MD PhD) is also welcome but not required. Of note research associates in equity research in general often have MBA degrees from top institutions and/or significant credentials in finance (CFA CPA). While these qualifications could be helpful in this capacity they are not essential or even preferred.
