The NCI designated Hollings Cancer Center and the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina invite applications for a Research Associate Biostatistician. This position is for a biostatistician with research interests in clinical cancer research.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Division has a large and expanding program of collaborative and internal research. The position will involve highly collaborative interactions with Hollings Cancer Center faculty with an emphasis on joint grant proposals, development of statistical methodology for cancer research, and the design and analysis of laboratory, clinical and epidemiologic studies.
Position Qualifications:
A masters degree in biostatistics or related field is required. Candidates should be able to work independently, have experience and ability in data analysis and statistical programming, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience in clinical or basic science research, and with writing collaborative papers and funding proposals is highly desired. Fluency in either SAS or R is required, and experience with other statistical software (such as Stata or Winbugs) is desirable.
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $70,000 depending on level of experience
