Position Title:
Special Appointment Assistant Professor
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Statistics at Colorado State University invites applications for a non-tenure track, nine-month/yr., renewable, faculty teaching position, starting August, 2013. The duties of this position are 100% instruction related; there is no research component. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching of statistics courses at all undergraduate levels, with an emphasis on large [100+] audience introductory lectures. Duties also include supervision of recitation instructors and graduate teaching assistants, coordination of courses taught in multiple sections, as well as preparation of course materials. The position will require a sustained effort to ensure effective student learning, including investigation and development of innovative teaching strategies.
Position Qualifications:
A PhD in statistics or a related field is required. Preference will be given to applications with teaching and course coordination experience.
