The Statistics Department at the University of Wyoming is one of the
oldest stand-alone statistics departments in the country. We have
always valued strong applied research in statistics in a wide array of
scientific disciplines. Collaborative opportunities exist both on
campus and with NCAR. Laramie is a small town located between the Snowy

Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Statistics
Duties & Responsibilities: This
is a tenure-track position starting August 2013. For this position, the
successful candidate is expected to have research interests in
computational statistics. Capabilities in Bayesian modeling and
analysis and interest in interdisciplinary and collaborative research
are also highly desirable.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates should have a PhD in Statistics or closely related
quantitative field by the start of the appointment. Both research and
teaching are important at the University of Wyoming, and the position
requires dedication and proficiency in both areas. The University of
