Position Title:
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Richmond, a highly-selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts institution, invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the level of assistant professor to begin August 2013. We will consider candidates with a background in any area of statistics. We especially encourage applications from candidates with (i) teaching and research interests that support our major in Mathematical Economics, and/or (ii) an ability to advise students expressing interest in actuarial science. The successful applicant is expected to commit to highly effective teaching at all levels of the curriculum and to maintain a vigorous, collaborative research program that engages undergraduates in substantive research outcomes.
Position Qualifications:
A Ph.D. is required. ABDs will be considered, but must have completed the Ph.D. degree by the start date.
