The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, specializing in Statistics. ROLE of the POSITION The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Statistics, commencing Fall 2013. The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, publish in refereed research journals, pursue external funding, and supervise graduate students. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
Position Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics from a regionally accredited University. SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
