101 Dickens Hall, Manhattan KS 66506 The department has 14 full-time faculty positions with research interests covering a wide range of topics both in theory and application. Some faculty have joint appointments with Kansas State Research and Extension (KSRE) which involves statistical consulting with researchers in agriculture, and the department strongly values such collaborative research. The department’s annual Applied Statistics in Agriculture Conference, now in its 25th year, boasts outstanding keynote speakers and each year draws over 100 participants from around the country.

Department Head
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Statistics Department Head will lead the department, oversee academic programs and promote research within the department, and represent Statistics to a wide constituency outside of the department.
Position Qualifications:
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field, an active research program, and a record of scholarship and teaching sufficient to be tenured at the level of professor or associate professor.
