The Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics is an academic department within Georgetown University Medical Center. The department offers a Masters of Science program in Biostatistics, and provides consulting expertise to the Georgetown community with respect to the design and data analysis of clinical trials, basic science, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics data analysis, and population science research projects. The department has 10 faculty members, 2 staff biostatisticians, and a strong administrative staff. The department also serves as an essential component of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center whose Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource is housed in the Department. The Cancer Center research programs cover the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer through innovative basic and clinical research, patient care, and community education and outreach.

Georgetown University invites applications for tenure-track Faculty positions (Assistant or Associate) in the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have a strong methodological research background, experience within a collaborative research environment, and evidence of teaching experience. The candidate must possess a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics or related fields, with expertise in clinical trials methodology, bioinformatics, statistical methods for cancer epidemiology, high-dimensional genomics and transcriptional data analysis, metabolomics, and Bayesian modeling.
