| Company Information:
Boston Biomedical Associates provides medical device and biomedical companies with comprehensive, proven methodologies to help bring new technologies to market, on time, on budget, and with greater efficiency.
Position Title:
Biostatistician
Duties & Responsibilities:
If you want diversity and career growth, you need to think about all the things you could do with BBA! Our new Biostatistician will be expected to grow with our Massachusetts-based clinical research organization. Start making a difference knowing that your work will support medical device research to improve the lives of patients. Year one looks a bit like this: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication as you take part in writing at least one, and maybe two, Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs). You'll help in defining study analysis populations, planning the approach to working around inevitable missing data, and building up table shells. Partner with internal departments as you review and edit new protocols, review Case Report Forms (CRFs) with Data Management, and draft portions of statistical reports for projects across many therapeutic areas including cardiac, orthopedic, gastro-intestinal, etc. Show off superb attention to detail as you help with validating and reviewing statistical summaries for clients, Data Monitoring Committees, the FDA and other regulatory bodies. The position also comes with things like a well-established company, competitive compensation, fabulous benefits, coworkers with a boatload of expertise to share, and a fun environment.
Position Qualifications:
Have the stats background and interested in this chance to put those skills to work helping bring medical devices to market? We’d love to hear from you! There are a few more things you need to know first though: You should have a MS in stats or Biostats. If you have a year or two of experience that'd be great, but no experience wouldn't be a deal breaker for the right person. Most importantly, you need to demonstrate a solid understanding of stats basics and be able to communicate what you know to others. You should be a self-starter and willing to learn and grow within the company. Comfort using either SAS or R is required; comfort with both is a big plus.
