Position Title: Visiting Assistant Professor

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites application for a nine-month visiting assistant professor position (position number 55547) for the academic year of 2012-2011, starting August 20, 2012. The visiting assistant professor is expected to teach undergraduate courses in mathematics and statistics and some graduate statistics courses. The teaching load is to be determined by department need, service assignment and research agenda. Some services at the department level are expected and the faculty member will also be encouraged to continue his/her research program.

Position Qualifications: A Ph.D in statistics or in mathematics with statistics as an emphasis is preferred. An ABD with extensive teaching experience may be considered as well.
