The Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology has an active teaching/research faculty consisting of nine biostatisticians and eight epidemiologists. Division members collaborate extensively with faculty from the School of Public Health and Health Sciences (www.umass.edu/sphhs/), other departments on campus, the University's Medical School (www.umassmed.edu), and Baystate Medical Center (http://baystatehealth.com/Baystate/bmc). Position Title:
Research Associate/Full Professor in Biostatistics
Duties & Responsibilities:
The School of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking applicants for a Research Associate/Full Professor in Biostatistics. Funding is guaranteed at 75% with the expectation that the candidate will secure the remainder from externally funded research. The successful candidate will join the faculty in the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Department of Public Health. Responsibilities will include research and, especially, collaborative research. The candidate will be expected to develop his or her own research program and engage in collaborative research with other faculty from programs and departments within the School and University.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates for this position must meet the following minimum requirements: terminal degree (PhD, DrPH) in biostatistics or related field of study; evidence of experience as principal investigator of independent and collaborative research; strong record of peer-reviewed publication; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
