Position Title:
Postdoc - Biostatistics
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for a four-year research project. The specific goals of the project are to develop and validate prognostic models to predict clinical outcomes in prostate cancer; test for Prentice surrogate criteria; create implementable applications for final models; develop methodology; and write manuscripts.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates must have: a PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field; experience in regression methods (binary and time to event endpoints) and data base manipulation; and strong programming skills in order to conduct Monte Carlo studies and applications (R/Plus/SAS software/programming). Candidate must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), a working knowledge of validation approaches (preferred) and proficiency in Linux system, C++ and Python.
