Position Title: Biostatistician #M02625

Duties & Responsibilities: The position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth in a stimulating research environment, collaborating on both local and multi-center clinical studies. The biostatistician performs statistical analyses and database management for the Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research in Cancer Imaging (CCERCI) and American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN) research projects at the Center for Statistical Sciences, particularly analyses of large data sets containing coded medical data. The biostatistician will also coordinate CCERI and ACRIN studies and assist faculty in the design and development of new studies.

Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Biometry. (A Masters degree in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Applied mathematics or related field may be sufficient if all appropriate statistical coursework has been completed, or combination of extensive statistical training and experiences.) Other qualifications include: excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with biomedical data analysis, knowledge of ICD and CPT codes used in Health Services Research, working knowledge of major statistical software package (SAS, Stat, or S-plus) and experience in computing in both a Windows and UNIX environment.
