Position Title: Postdoctoral

Duties & Responsibilities: A postdoctoral opening within the Department of Biostatistics is available, with start date Summer/Fall, 2012. The position will initially be funded by the UNC Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (TRaCS), with additional support possible from other collaborative grants. Responsibilities include consulting and collaboration with biomedical researchers at the Institute, focused methodologic research related to Institute collaborations, and dedicated time for independent methodologic research. In addition, some administrative duties at TRACS are required. There are diverse opportunities for methodologic collaboration with departmental faculty. There is potential for the position to convert to a permanent faculty track position. Candidates will ideally have a doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field, as well as genuine interests and experiences in collaborative biomedical research and outstanding verbal communication skills. Position Qualifications: PhD or equivalent in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, and independent collaborative statistical experience.
