Position Title:
STATISTICAL GENETICIST FACULTY POSITION (TENURE TRACK) -- Assistant Professor
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Biostatistics Program in the Department of Pediatrics at UAMS and the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Statistical Genetics at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to support the Arkansas Center for Birth Defects Research and Prevention. The Arkansas Center, one of ten national programs funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, combines surveillance, research and prevention to make an impact the lives of Arkansan children and their families.
Position Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a have a Ph.D. in statistical genetics, biostatistics or related field completed by June of 2012. The successful candidate must show evidence of collaborative research and peer-reviewed publications, outstanding communication skills, a professional orientation toward service, strong ability and interest in teaching, and a strong methodological orientation. Faculty appointment will be at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Department of Pediatrics.
