Position Title:
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOSTATISTICS
Duties & Responsibilities:
Successful candidate is expected to join the team of epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and computer scientists at the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) (1) to advise and contribute to statistical solutions raised by investigators at the ~30 Alzheimer’s Disease Centers (ADCs) and other investigators associated with Alzheimer’s research efforts, (2) to conduct methodological research and evaluate new statistical methods to solve problems in Alzheimer’s Disease research, such as those related to missing data in studies collected at multiple sites, and (3) to promote collaborative research among the ADCs through research funding and technical support. This position may also involve other statistical research in regression analysis of skewed data, causal inferences for randomized trials with non-compliance, and ROC curve methodology.
Position Qualifications:
Appointment will be for two years. Ph.D required in statistics, biostatistics, or mathematics. Strong theoretical, computational, and communication skills are desired.
