Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Statistical Genetics

Duties & Responsibilities: The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in statistical genetics. The successful candidate will work in Dr. Rui Feng's research group on NIH-funded projects related to genome-wide association studies, copy number variation analysis, and sequence data analysis. The candidate will develop and implement statistical and computational methods for problems arising from genetic studies. The statistical genetic group at Penn strives to provide the best training and research environment for post-doctoral fellows.

Position Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computer sciences or other quantitative fields. Programming skills in C/C++ (or Perl) and at least one statistical package are required. The ability to work independently is a must. Experience in genetic analysis is strongly desired but not required.

Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and will be competitive.
