Position Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Duties & Responsibilities: The primary purpose of this position is to conduct data analysis and methods development for an exciting new multi-institution NIH initiative, with the goal of characterizing the genomics of human gene expression. This position is available immediately.

Position Qualifications: Extensive experience with Matlab, R, and scripting skills necessary to handle very large datasets are a must. Experience with large-scale biological or genetic datasets is also required. Ability to work independently with general supervision; good verbal and written communication skills; good time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will work with faculty in Biostatistics and Statistics at UNC, and interact closely with premier researchers at US and European institutions. Education: Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science or a related field.
