Position Title: Tenure-Leading Faculty Position

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Biostatistics, UNMC College of Public Health, seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-leading position, preferably at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor; rank and tenure commensurate with experience. The responsibilities are: collaborative research (including campus and inter-campus partnerships to pursue external grant funding), teaching, curriculum development and advising in graduate programs in Public Health. Commitment to scholarly growth is expected. Preferred areas of emphasis include: statistical analysis of high dimensional (i.e. genomics/proteomics) data, statistical methodology for clinical trials or observational studies. Candidates should be comfortable working across disciplines with experience in biostatistical consulting and teaching preferred. They should also communicate clearly both orally and in writing. They should have experience teaching students from various disciplines, a strong commitment to graduate teaching and advising, and evidence of teaching excellence.
